Assist the Project/Client Managers by providing technical guidance to help meet the client’s desires and budget. Work with a team of engineers on a variety of private, public, and federal projects. In addition to working with electrical engineers, this individual will team with architectural, mechanical, structural, and other disciplines to provide full-range services to our local and regional clients. In short, provide technical guidance associated with electrical requirements to accomplish our commitments. To learn more, visit www.dewberry.com.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Would be expected to provide the following to others on the design team to effectively and successfully complete projects:</li>\n <li>Technical guidance and quality oversight, including code review, of all project work involving electrical engineering.</li>\n <li>Technical training and development of staff.</li>\n <li>Establishing and improving standards, practices, guidelines, and specifications for electrical discipline area.</li>\n <li>Engineer of Record.</li>\n <li>Provide 'on-the-spot' advice and decisions - technical and cost estimates.</li>\n <li>Coordination with all of the disciplines involved, including outside consultants.</li>\n <li>Technical interface with code officials and contractors.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Skills & Required Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity (example through Comity) within the State in which the position is posted within six (6) months. </strong></li>\n <li><strong>Accomplished electrical engineer.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>7+ years of progressive technical experience in the design of power distribution, multiple generator powerhouses, multi-building medium voltage campus distribution, fault studies, selective overcurrent coordination studies, load flow studies, arc flash studies, lighting, life safety, and telecommunications systems on healthcare and commercial projects. </strong></li>\n <li>Experience should include management of multiple projects with proven success providing technical oversight on projects that meet contract specifications and technical standards to the client on time and within budget. </li>\n <li>Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills. </li>\n <li>Well organized, takes good notes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>*At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>*Dewberry is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
