Our vertically integrated capabilities and deep materials science expertise in aluminum and titanium structural casting is taking the industry to new heights.&nbsp;</p><p>Arconic is seeking <strong>a Mechanical Engineer </strong>to join our Aluminum Extrusion business unit in <strong>Chandler, AZ.</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Profile</u>:</strong> The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for capital improvements and assisting with production uptime.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Essential Functions:</u></strong> The Mechanical Engineer requires technical and interpersonal skills essential to teamwork. &nbsp;Major duties include but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Working closely with production and maintenance to upgrade existing equipment, perform repairs, and install new machinery.</li><li>Supporting the day-to-day operations by acting as a resource for skilled trades and contracted services.</li><li>General duties for the Mechanical Engineer include but are not limited to:</li><li>Providing high-level technical assistance to production/maintenance personal during both planned and unplanned equipment service interruptions, including after-hours or weekends.</li><li>Applying root cause problem solving (troubleshooting) techniques to find and eliminate sources of recurring equipment failures through creative, cost-effective solutions.</li><li>Working with other plant departments to identify, investigate feasibility, and/or create business cases to acquire funding for capital projects.</li><li>Managing capital projects from conception to commissioning, startup, and handover phases, including equipment supplier/contractor selection and BU level procurement interaction.</li><li>Developing and maintaining technical documentation (drawings, preventative maintenance procedures, start-up/shutdown procedures, etc.) for new and existing processes and procedures in the assigned work area.</li><li>Observing and supporting plant safety goals and initiatives.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>",
