The driver operates straight or articulated rubber-tired rock truck equipped with hydraulically powered bed to transport and dump material. A CDL license is not required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why work for H&K Group, Inc.? </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li>\n <li>100% Company-paid Health Benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) Savings and Investment Plan</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement programs available to qualifying employees for approved programs</li>\n <li>Additional training programs including on the job, online through H&K Academy, manufacturer offered training, and more</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies</li>\n <li>Perform pre and post trip of equipment every day and fill out daily inspection sheets</li>\n <li>Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate rock truck</li>\n <li>Drives safely and efficiently to transport material and achieve production goals</li>\n <li>Moves levers to raise and tilt truck bed to dump material</li>\n <li>Performs routine maintenance on rock truck such as lubricating and cleaning</li>\n <li>Perform all work following company policies and procedures</li>\n <li>Cross trained to assist with maintenance when needed</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR one month of related experience and/or training\n  <ul>\n   <li>Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Able and willing to work a 2nd shift schedule</li>\n <li>Problem solving</li>\n <li>Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p> <strong>Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>3+ months related experience</li>\n <li>Experience operating heavy equipment</li>\n <li>Experience working in a quarry, heavy civil construction, or other outdoor industrial setting</li>\n <li>MSHA or other relevant safety certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly required to\n  <ul>\n   <li>Sit</li>\n   <li>Use hands to finger, handle, or feel</li>\n   <li>Reach with hands and arms</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Frequently required to talk or hear</li>\n <li>Occasionally required to \n  <ul>\n   <li>Stand, walk, climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl</li>\n   <li>Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Specific vision abilities include \n  <ul>\n   <li>Distance</li>\n   <li>Peripheral</li>\n   <li>Depth perception</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly exposed to\n  <ul>\n   <li>Outside weather conditions</li>\n   <li>Vibration</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Frequently exposed to \n  <ul>\n   <li>Fumes and airborne particles</li>\n   <li>Moving parts</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Noise level is usually loud</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Hazleton Quarry</strong> (formerly Hazleton Materials) has been a trusted H&K Group, Inc. affiliate company since 2001.
