We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With more than 60 years of expertise, GD-OTS designs, develops, manufactures, and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes and fuel tanks. <em><strong>This is a Year-Round Internship located on-site at our facility in Lincoln, NE.</strong></em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities-</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides support to technical employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study.</li>\n <li>Assists with technical tasks and project support.</li>\n <li>Supports equipment set up and monitors tests and experiments.</li>\n <li>Observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports.</li>\n <li>Learns technical processes and procedures.</li>\n <li>Job shadows other more experienced professionals and or support staff.</li>\n <li>May also support the documentation & updates of procedures or work instructions.</li>\n <li>Handles basic issues and problems</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications-</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Required education and experience:</strong> Must be currently enrolled in related Technical courses or be within 6 months of graduation; No prior experience needed.</li>\n <li>Must be enrolled in a technical college or degree-seeking program.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Knowledge, skills & abilities:</strong> Ability to work as part of a team. Oral and written communication skills. Attentiveness. Ability to understand and follow directions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.</li>\n <li>Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.</li>\n <li>May need to stand for long periods of time.</li>\n <li>Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.</li>\n <li>This position is Safety-Sensitive.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Travel Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>No or very little travel likely.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>_____________________________</h2>\n<p>The above statements describe the general nature and level of work only.
