We even offer pet insurance for your four-legged family members.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Early access to earned wages with Daily Pay, tuition reimbursement to help further your career and adoption assistance to help you grow your family.   </li>\n</ul>\n<p>With a collective goal to champion a culture of belonging where everyone feels valued and respected, we honor the ways people are unique and embrace what brings us together.   </p>\n<p>And, we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience. </p>\n<p>Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Clinical Excellence/Patient Care</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs examination and evaluation to determine diagnosis and prognosis of patient/client and determine appropriate intervention to gain expected outcomes based on patient/client goals including a collaborative approach with patient/family and health care team.</li>\n <li>Utilizes of appropriate Physical Therapy interventions to produce desired outcomes.</li>\n <li>Utilizes of appropriate documentation and billing to communicate progress and status to physicians, other healthcare professionals and third party reimbursement.</li>\n <li>Supervision of Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance to state licensure laws.</li>\n <li>Utilizes critical thinking in making independent judgements and maintains responsibility and accountability for the knowledge of conditions of assigned patients.</li>\n <li>Able to demonstrate the necessary skills and competencies of a physical therapist.</li>\n <li>Keeps work area and equipment clean and orderly by maintaining and practicing hospital and departmental policies and procedures regarding safety and infection control.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Development & Patient Education</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs as a member of the Rehabilitation Department through joint interventions, communication and quality assurance programs and meetings. </li>\n <li>Continues professional development and involvement in professional activities that enhance therapy practice by sharing knowledge through networking and research.</li>\n <li>Assess and chooses teaching strategies appropriate to the patient/family needs including age, culture, gender, readiness to learn and level of comprehension.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential and actual concerns immediately.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of an Accredited Physical Therapy Program (Masters or Doctorate level)</li>\n <li>Completion of four hours of stroke education prior to the end of orientation and annually</li>\n <li>Current licensure in good standing to practice as a PT in Iowa</li>\n <li>Must possess and maintain current BLS certification or obtain certification within three months from date of hire.</li>\n <li>Completion of four hours of stroke education prior to the end of orientation and annually</li>\n <li>Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.</li>\n <li>Multicultural sensitivity</li>\n <li>Basic Computer skills</li>\n <li>Customer/patient focused.</li>\n <li>Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.</li>\n</ul>",
