Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists Product Managers and/or Sr. Product Managers with marketing and business plans for the product segment. Provides support for optimization and operational responsibilities of the existing product line and supports implementation of new products into the market.
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in writing strategic product plans with strategic marketing objectives and strategies, including long term profitability, volumes (top-line growth) and new product and acquisition proposals.
Supports Product Managers with responsibilities such as market analysis, product specification, product and price positioning, business case approval including the long-range volume, revenue and margin projections.
Assists in the life cycle management of products in portfolio as per strategic plan objectives and strategies and therefore guardian of product line proliferation.
Leading/Supporting the VOC (Voice of the Customer) process.
Product champions and experts for key identified product groups. Product management has to sign off as Core member of product project team.
Responsible for managing and working with other support teams (Purchasing, Engineering, etc.) on value improvement initiatives within the product segment.
Support process of spare parts documentation, owner’s manuals, and order forms; support product related market research activities within the markets.
Support the product training process.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Biomedical Engineering, Engineering, Marketing, Communications, or Business; therapist or other relevant clinical background also preferred.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
2 plus years selling or technical background a plus.
Able to make presentations in a professional manner.
Flexible and able to travel frequently.
Must be team player and potential leader with strong interpersonal skills.
