    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p>The RPAS/UAV Drone Inspection Pilot will be responsible for the growth, success, and operation of Acuren’s Unmanned Inspection Services in Canada. Charged to design a world-class industrial inspection program using uniquely qualified experts and remotely piloted vehicles to help solve difficult problems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Details:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Start Date: July 2026</li>\n <li>Shift: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week with opportunities for overtime available </li>\n <li>Applicants need to be local to Fort McMurray, AB</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Conduct RPAS operations in accordance with Transport Canada regulations, company procedures, and client requirements.  </p></li>\n  </ul>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Perform visual inspections, reality capture missions, and data acquisition activities utilizing drones, robotics, and advanced sensor technologies.  </p></li>\n  </ul>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Collect high-quality imagery, LiDAR, thermal, photogrammetric, and other inspection datasets to support client deliverables.  </p></li>\n  </ul>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Process and review inspection, mapping, and reality capture data to ensure quality and completeness.  </p></li>\n  </ul>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Generate inspection reports, maps, orthomosaics, point clouds, 3D models, and other project deliverables as required.  </p></li>\n  </ul>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Perform pre-flight planning, site hazard assessments, equipment inspections, and flight documentation.  </p></li>\n  </ul>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Coordinate with client representatives, site personnel, and project teams to safely execute field operations.  </p></li>\n  </ul>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Support technical demonstrations, client meetings, lunch-and-learn sessions, and business development activities.  </p></li>\n  </ul>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Maintain RPAS, sensors, batteries, and supporting equipment in accordance with manufacturer and company requirements.  </p></li>\n  </ul>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Assist with testing and evaluation of new drone platforms, sensors, software, and inspection technologies.  </p></li>\n  </ul>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Travel to industrial facilities and remote locations as required to support project execution.  </p></li>\n  </ul>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Maintain all required certifications, training, and operational records.  </p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Advanced RPAS Pilot Certificate required</p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Restricted Operator Certificate – Aeronautical (ROC-A) required</p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Applicants must be local to Fort McMurray, AB.  </p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Assets & Preferred Qualifications: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Experience working in industrial environments including oil & gas, mining, utilities, power generation, or heavy industry.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Experience performing drone-based inspections, surveying, mapping, or reality capture projects.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Demonstrated experience conducting drone inspections within confined and enclosed industrial assets, including tanks, pressure vessels, furnaces, boilers, process units, and other GPS-denied environments.  </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Experience operating advanced sensor payloads including LiDAR, EO/IR, thermal, multispectral, or hyperspectral systems is considered an asset.  </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Experience with photogrammetry, LiDAR processing, or reality capture software.  </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Experience with GIS, CAD, and geospatial data platforms including ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, DJI Terra, Pix4D, RealityCapture, or similar software.  </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Ability to interpret engineering drawings, site maps, and inspection requirements.  </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Experience preparing technical reports and client deliverables.  </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.  </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Ability to travel and work in remote industrial environments.  </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Experience with confined space, rope access, NDT/NDE, or industrial inspection applications is considered an assets </p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>The strength of Acuren lies in its outstanding people.
