As a <strong>Project Engineer specializing in wet utilities</strong> (sewers and watermains) with coordination experience in <strong>dry utilities</strong> (hydro, gas, telecom), you’ll play a pivotal role in the design, execution, and success of complex infrastructure projects. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>In this capacity, you will be responsible for the following:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position is an opportunity to combine engineering expertise with cross-disciplinary collaboration in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. In this dynamic role, you’ll be empowered to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Lead utility relocation and installation design activities, particularly for wet utilities.</p></li>\n <li><p>Coordinate utility impacts with hydro (transmission and distribution), telecom, and gas systems.</p></li>\n <li><p>Prepare detailed and preliminary designs for sewers and watermains, including engineering calculations.</p></li>\n <li><p>Collaborate across internal disciplines and external stakeholders to create integrated design solutions.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ensure full compliance with project agreements, third-party utility and municipal standards, and applicable construction specifications.</p></li>\n <li><p>Deliver accurate and timely submittal while balancing competing project priorities.</p></li>\n <li><p>Conduct site inspections and generate detailed field reports to inform project decisions.</p></li>\n <li><p>Recommend enhancements to existing utility infrastructure based on engineering evaluation.</p></li>\n <li><p>Facilitate coordination with contractors to ensure efficient and cost-effective construction.</p></li>\n <li><p>Participate in design and constructibility workshops, bringing real-world insights to project planning.</p></li>\n <li><p>Contribute to permitting processes, proposal development, and other project support tasks.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2></h2>\n<h3><strong>What you will bring to the firm:</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>A Civil Engineering Bachelor’s Degree, College Diploma or equivalent field</li>\n <li>Minimum 8 years of applicable experience and a strong background in the design of wet utility systems including watermain and sewer infrastructure.</li>\n <li>An Engineer-In-Training or Professional Engineer license (P.Eng., Canada)</li>\n <li>Proficiency in CADD (ACAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D), geometry software, and the MS Office suite</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to coordinate and address design considerations for dry utilities (hydro, telecom, gas).</li>\n <li><p>Experience managing or supporting utility relocations in transportation and infrastructure settings.</p></li>\n <li><p>Proficiency in interpreting and applying municipal design standards, utility specifications, and construction practices.</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong communication skills for working with clients, contractors, and third-party utility providers.</p></li>\n <li><p>A proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering deliverables under tight deadlines.</p></li>\n <li><p>Familiarity with site inspection protocols and reporting.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>What we prefer you bring:</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng) in Ontario or eligibility for licensing.</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience supporting Metrolinx, TTC, MTO, or other agency-led infrastructure programs.</p></li>\n <li><p>Knowledge of local permitting and approval processes for utility infrastructure.</p></li>\n <li><p>Enthusiasm for continuous learning and a mindset for solving engineering challenges creatively.</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience contributing to proposal writing or pursuit strategies in the infrastructure sector.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p>\n<p>The range for this position is $96,100.00 - $140,000.00.
