The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. At Novolex, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.</p>\n<p>The benefits for this role include 401(k) plan with company match, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending and health savings accounts, paid vacation, and sick days, paid parental leave, paid holidays and wellness program.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Available Shift: </strong>3rd Shift, Nights</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>We are currently seeking a competent and experienced Manufacturing Production Supervisor to join our dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrate a safety-first mindset in all situations. Promotes and trains on consistent and proactive safety, participates in audits for compliance, generates incident reports, and partners with EHS to investigate “close calls”.</li>\n <li>Leads, assists, motivates, and evaluates shift employees in daily operations and problem resolution. Promotes a culture of continuous improvement.</li>\n <li>Ensures quality specifications are met and procedures are followed.</li>\n <li>Trains the team in executing company procedures, focusing on safety, quality and meeting production goals.</li>\n <li>Cross-functional teamwork with HR for payroll processing, management and documentation of performance and disciplinary matters and staffing. </li>\n <li>Meets and coordinates with peers to share important issues at shift changeover.</li>\n <li>Manages shift to attain production and scrap goals.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoots and resolves process, equipment, and material issues in conjunction with maintenance and support personnel.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Required Qualifications:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree preferred; Six Sigma Certification preferred.</li>\n <li>5+ years of successful production supervision experience.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office.</li>\n <li>Must have the willingness and ability to learn new systems.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.</li>\n <li><strong>Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred</strong>. </li>\n <li>Team player with ability to build lasting productive business relationships with hourly employees, management, and peers.</li>\n <li>Ability to function under pressure and to prioritize numerous tasks with conflicting deadlines.</li>\n <li>This position requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing up and down stairs and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.</li>\n <li>Must be comfortable working in a typical manufacturing environment with seasonal heat/cold and sound related to machine operation as well as maintenance and facility repair activities. </li>\n <li>Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the task at hand.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Benefits</h2>\n<h2>What You'll Get From Us</h2>\n<h3>Benefits</h3>\n<p>With safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
