    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary</span></p>\n<p>The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with mental, emotional, behavioral, educational, and developmental disorders. The LCSW also provides psychotherapy for individuals (children, adolescents, adults), couples, families, and groups. The LCSW adheres to Mathiesen Memorial Health Clinic's mission, vision, and values and follows all policies and procedures to ensure excellent patient care.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Duties</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Makes assessments and interpretations based on biopsychosocial evaluations, semi-structured interviews, therapy sessions, and psychometric tests.</li>\n<li>Formulates and creates personalized interventions, treatments, and patient management plans.</li>\n<li>Diagnoses and treats various mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.</li>\n<li>Conducts ongoing case management and other administrative tasks as needed.</li>\n<li>Provides referral services to outside agencies, clinics, and treatment facilities. Coordinates care with outside facilities.</li>\n<li>Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to promote an integrated and team approach to patient care.</li>\n<li>Maintains confidentiality of patient’s treatment and records per the Board of Behavioral Science law and ethical code, California state law and ethics, and HIPAA.</li>\n<li>Adheres to the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) guidelines.</li>\n<li>Participates in ongoing clinical training seminars to maintain adherence to policies and procedures.</li>\n<li>Maintains appropriate documentation of clinical and therapeutic services, including all necessary billing information, within the electronic health record and completes it promptly.</li>\n<li>Maintains and updates professional knowledge and proficiency through continuing education, staff meetings, workshops, and serving on committees.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education and Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master’s degree in social work</li>\n<li>Current CA license in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Services</li>\n<li>2+ years’ experience in clinical social work preferred</li>\n<li>Current CPR certification</li>\n<li>Knowledge of psychological theories and practice</li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>\n<li>Ability to empathize with a culturally diverse patient population.</li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge and experience in individual, couple, family, and group psychology.</li>\n<li>Ability to work as a team member; function independently; exercise sound</li>\n</ul>\n<p>judgment and initiative.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.</li>\n<li>Ability to effectively communicate treatment information, test results, diagnoses, and other relevant patient information in a manner easily accessible and understood by patients.</li>\n<li>Skilled in preparing, completing, and maintaining patient records per regulations,</li>\n</ul>\n<p>policies, and established practices.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching above or below the shoulder.</li>\n<li>Handling/grasping documents, medical and office equipment.</li>\n<li>Sitting or standing for short or extended periods.</li>\n<li>Clear speaking and adequate hearing to communicate effectively and respond appropriately in person and on the telephone.</li>\n<li>Vision sufficient to read source materials and computer screen data, with or without corrective lenses.</li>\n<li>Repetitive motions for computer equipment use.</li>\n<li>The ability to deal well with time constraints and emotional stress is necessary.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Reasonable accommodations will be given to qualified disabled applicants under Section 501 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, 29 U.S. Code 791, Title 29, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working Conditions</span></p>\n<p>Outpatient clinic setting.  Monday through Friday, no weekends. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to odors and airborne particles, as well as the potential risk of airborne pathogens. Exposure to body fluids and viruses is also a potential hazard of this job.
