    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Missoula Children's Theatre is casting Actor/Directors to join our national Red Truck Tour for the 2026/2027 season. </span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We currently have the following tour contract opportunities: </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">3 month contract - Summer 2026 - May 26, 2026 - August 23, 2026</span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">7 month contract - Summer/Fall 2026  - May 26, 2026 - December 11, 2026</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">12 month contract - May 26, 2026 - May 14, 2027</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Contract extensions are available depending on your interest and MCT's needs. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Our Mission</span></span></p>\n<p>Empowering children and adults through theatre education and performance to develop lifelong skills while enriching communities worldwide through live productions.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About Us</span></span></p>\n<p>Inspiring dreams and aspirations, and developing skills for life since 1973, the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) brings the power of commitment, hard work and performance to communities all over the nation and the world with its unique touring theatre company. MCT’s transformative programming includes a production of a full-scale musical with local children in just six days. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Logistics</span></span></p>\n<p>A tour team consists of 2 professional Actor/Directors. Each team visits a new community every week, and are responsible for auditioning, casting, and rehearsing local school age children for approximately 20 hours over a week’s time. The hard work culminates in two performances of an hour-long musical with one of the MCT Actor/Directors performing a supporting role alongside the children. The other actor/director serves as the primary director. MCT teams also conduct educational workshops as part of each residency week.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Requirements</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Well-rounded performance skills</li>\n<li>Work successfully and ethically with children</li>\n<li>The ability to communicate effectively</li>\n<li>Physical and emotional stamina with the ability to lift up to 50lbs</li>\n<li>Maturity and problem-solving skills</li>\n<li>An interest in travel</li>\n<li>A sense of humor</li>\n<li>A valid driver’s license and good driving record.  Due to insurance requirements, actors must be aged 20 or older and have 3 years experience driving on a full license (not learners or provisional)</li>\n<li>A current US passport is highly recommended to be eligible for our Canadian or overseas tours.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation &amp; Benefits</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Starting pay of guaranteed <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">minimum</span> of $400 per residency week completed. \n<ul>\n<li>Guaranteed minimum increases after every quarter worked.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Housing provided during each residency week</li>\n<li>Use of a company-owned truck for travel to residency weeks</li>\n<li>Job/travel-related expenses during the course of touring - (travel to and from Missoula not included)</li>\n<li>Percentage of merchandise sales</li>\n<li>Employee Assistance Program</li>\n<li>Benefits available for contracts lasting 4 months or longer\n<ul>\n<li>Health</li>\n<li>Vision</li>\n<li>Dental</li>\n<li>Life &amp; Accident Insurance</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Training dates for Summer 2026 are as follows:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>5/26/2026 - Virtual Training Day</li>\n<li>5/27/2026  - Travel to Missoula</li>\n<li>5/28/2026 - 6/5/2026 - Training in Missoula</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Comprehensive paid training in beautiful Missoula, Montana!  Training will include learning MCT teaching methods, show blocking, and music.
