Successful candidates will work in our food processing production facility located in Austin, Minnesota, and enjoy competitive wages along with a comprehensive benefits package. The Austin plant specializes in the production of items including SPAM, Dry Sausage, Bacon and Fresh pork.<strong> The starting rate is $24.85.</strong></p><p>What you’ll do as a Production Professional:</p><ul><li>Follow all company rules for food safety and employee safety.</li><li>Drive a forklift consistent with company standards.</li><li>Working Conditions: Refrigerated environment - temperatures average 40 degrees Fahrenheit.</li><li>Learn a wide variety of jobs and duties across our plant such as: grinding, batching, and stuffing products, operating forklifts, slicing, boxing, and more.</li><li>Make people safety and food safety the number one priority.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>What skills you will use:</p><ul><li>The ability to read and write to complete job-related paperwork.</li><li>Basic computer skills to complete job-related tasks.</li><li>The ability to perform repetitive hand &amp; wrist motion throughout a shift.</li><li>The ability to kneel/squat/climb as necessary to complete job related tasks.</li><li>Weekend work is required.</li></ul><p><strong>This position has a strong benefits package including medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, 401(k) and match, Wellness Program, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, FREE two-year community/technical college tuition for children of employees and more.</strong></p><p><strong>Hormel Foods provides equal employment opportunities to applicants and employees without regard to race; color; sex; gender identity; sexual orientation; religious practices and observances; national origin; pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions; status as a protected veteran or spouse/family member of a protected veteran; or disability.</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p>",
