Certificated Teacher Resource (CTRs) are a key part of each resource center’s instructional team. The CTR position is hourly and full-time, 40 hours per week. CTRs are role models for our students, and are expected to look, act, and speak, as representatives of the school at all times. </span><span>  </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>This position description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, knowledge, or abilities associated with this classification, but are intended to accurately reflect the principal job elements.</span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Grade student work within 72 hours of receipt</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Provide constructive feedback to students</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Follow grading rigor reference guide</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Provide tutoring sessions to small group of students in Math, ELA, Social Science, Physical &amp; Life Sciences, Pathways Exhibition, CTE &amp; General Electives and VAPA &amp; World Languages</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Support each individual student’s Pathways Personalized Education Plan (PPEP) </span><br></li>\n<li><span>Assist and monitor the completion of all Naviance surveys </span><br></li>\n<li><span>Sign and abide by all educational testing affidavits </span><br></li>\n<li><span>Communicate with students and parents, related to school events, academic engagement, and progress</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Assist teachers with testing and supervision </span><br></li>\n<li><span>Attend required trainings, meetings, and professional development throughout the school year </span><br></li>\n<li><span>Assist in conducting student home visits</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Support teachers with resource center management related to a safe environment and supportive school culture</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Support teachers with the development of a monthly resource center calendar</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Partner with instructional staff to develop a field trip plan that is aligned to the school’s annual instructional plan</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Guest Speaker/Pathway Portfolio panel assistance</span><br></li>\n<li><span>CTR should support the resource center in making connections with local community members to serve as guest speakers and/or Pathway Portfolio panel members</span><br></li>\n<li><span>CTR should partner with teachers to make connections within the community</span><br></li>\n<li><span>CTR should help maintain a clean, organized learning environment for students</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Provide training and support to new CTRs</span><br></li>\n<li>Responsible for developing, implementing, and participating in regular and ongoing marketing and community outreach activities and events to ensure students and parents are aware of the school as a free public option</li>\n<li>Responsible for developing, implementing, and participating in regular and ongoing student retention activities and strategies to ensure no student drops out and current and previous students are aware of the school as a free public option</li>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned or changed with or without notice</li>\n<li>Maintain consistent and regular attendance</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university</li>\n<li><span>California 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit</span></li>\n<li><span>Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Years of experience working directly with middle and/or secondary students.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Preferably have experience working with specialized student populations (English Learners, Homeless, Foster Youth, etc.)</span><br></li>\n<li>Possession of a valid California driver's license and reliable transportation</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span>TB Clearance </span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Obtain </span><span>Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance through the DOJ and FBI</span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Understand the school’s Vision, Mission, and Values</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrate respect and appreciation for differences in values, languages, and customs among home, school, and community</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Possess excellent organizational, time management, and record-keeping skills</span><br></li>\n<li><span>General understanding of instructional strategies for middle and secondary students</span><br></li>\n<li><span>General knowledge of California Common Standards in core subject areas (math, science, social science, English)</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Standard software applications such as Microsoft Office Word/Excel/PowerPoint</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WORKING CONDITIONS:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ENVIRONMENT:</span> Indoor, office setting;
