Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. Camp is one of the outlets to make that mission a reality for many girls. A Camp Counselor is a part of that mission each summer.</p><p><br></p><p>As a Camp Counselor, you will: &nbsp;</p><ul><li>Assist in the operation of the camp and its programs to reflect the goals of Girl Scouting.</li><li>Live on site as an overnight employee during camp season (Sunday-Friday, required. Saturday, optional).</li><li>Work with the Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director to plan and implement activities and experiences in the group through girl-led planning, the session theme, and the Girl Scout program emphasis.</li><li>Observe and supervise camper behavior, identify and respond to hazards, assist campers in emergencies (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury).</li><li>Teach and promote respect for others: valuing and understanding differences and similarities of campers and staff.</li><li>Possess the strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers, ensuring their physical and emotional health and safety at all times.</li><li>Assist in maintaining sanitation, housekeeping, and care of camp grounds, supplies and equipment.</li><li>Assist with the storing and packing of equipment for safety during and at the end of the season.</li><li>Inform the Camp Director of day-to-day group successes and concerns, as well as camper health and other group issues. &nbsp;</li><li>Maintain a good rapport with parents and the community.</li><li>Keep required records and reports as requested by Camp Director and/or Assistant Camp Director.</li><li>Assist with check-in and check-out procedures.</li><li>Assist with the opening and closing of the entire camp.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li><li>Optional Certifications: Lifeguarding, Archery, Boating, Challenge course (fees covered by Council)</li></ul>",
