Job Description
As a Carrier Sales Executive your priority will be prospecting new carrier relationships, developing and expanding current carrier network, sourcing options for opportunities presented by Customer Sales team and booking available loads.
Who are you?
You are an experienced Carrier Sales Representative with at least +1 years of experience
You possess high level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy dealing with carriers and other team members
You have the ability to exercise judgment and discretion while functioning independently within authorized limits
You are self-motivated and able to work in incredibly fast paced environment under tight deadlines
You have developed negotiation skills and have a natural ability to develop and maintain relationships
Finally, If you are someone that is always keeping their eyes open for new opportunities or ways to improve yourself and the team….we want to hear it!
What will you be responsible for?
Effectively book all brokerage shipments within our TMS in a timely and cost-effective manner
Manage issues on loads and effectively communicate with carriers and Customer Sales team in order to resolve challenges
Develop new and grow existing carrier relationships (lead generation, calling prospective trucking companies and referrals)
Build strong relationships with trucking company key contacts (i.e., owner operators, dispatchers and drivers)
Utilize our data within TMS and other resources to make informed decisions, negotiate price, drive automation and improve efficiency
Identify issues and work cross-functionally to determine and implement the best solution
Maintain constant contact with carriers (daily touchpoints) to secure additional truck capacity and manage existing business agreements
Provide exceptional service to our carriers and customers
Ensure shipment details are accurately communicated and tracked in the system
