The APP will collaborate with attending orthopedic surgeons, residents, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum – including the emergency department, operating room, inpatient units, and outpatient clinics.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Responding to full/modified trauma activations with known orthopedic injuries</li>\n <li>Perform comprehensive orthopedic assessments, including history, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretation.</li>\n <li>First-assist in the operating room and perform orthopedic procedures (e.g., reductions, traction pins, casting, splinting, bedside I&amp;Ds when needed, and wound care).</li>\n <li>Respond to consults, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care in collaboration with the orthopedic team, within appropriate time frames</li>\n <li>Document care in the EMR, complete inpatient discharges, and ensure appropriate follow-up.</li>\n <li>Participate in daily rounds, trauma meetings, and interdisciplinary collaboration.</li>\n <li>Educate patients, families, and support training of residents or students as needed.</li>\n <li>Maintain licensure, certifications, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.</li>\n <li>Participate in fracture conferences, M&amp;M presentations, journal clubs, and research sessions along residents and attendings</li>\n <li>Primarily inpatient coverage with limited outpatient coverage of clinic</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Orthopedic – Trauma APP Additional Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Work Schedule:&nbsp;</strong>Full-Time, 4 days per week, 10 hour shifts<i><strong>&nbsp;</strong></i></li>\n <li><strong>Education:&nbsp;</strong>Masters Degree and Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.&nbsp;</li>\n <li><strong>Certification:&nbsp;</strong>Board certified (ACNP or NCCPA certification), BLS, Virginia License, Viginia DEA.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1+ year experience of Ortho Trauma experience</li>\n</ul>",
