Together we can transform the future of energy.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Join us in leading the </strong><strong>change!</strong></p>\n<p>We are looking to hire Power Systems Engineer to be part of our Team. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>How you can make an impact:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work on interconnection projects, including modeling, due diligence, interconnection analysis including evaluating available capacity for transmission lines and substations and estimate timing and costs.</li>\n <li>Create and validate PSS/E, PSCAD, ETAP, and ASPEN models for renewable generation: Solar PV, BESS, and Wind.</li>\n <li>Perform tasks requiring the application of standard electrical engineering techniques and procedures. Work includes analysis of electrical transmission/distribution systems, including generation interconnection studies, load flow analysis, dynamic studies, reactive power compensation study, transient stability analysis, short circuit, protection coordination and voltage analysis.</li>\n <li>Stay up to date on relevant state and federal regulatory matters, NERC, FERC compliance, and ISOs new requirements.</li>\n <li>Work with the team to support EPE’s generation developer Clients with understanding the interconnection process in different Independent System Operators (ISO).</li>\n <li>Design and review Preliminary Site Layout, Single Line Diagrams, and 30% Design Package in AutoCAD.</li>\n <li>Perform Generation Interconnection Applications in ISOs as needed.</li>\n <li>Experience leveraging AI and automation tools responsibly to improve quality, productivity and innovation under experience (bring your passion section. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>2+ years minimum experience in generation interconnection and compliance related activities</li>\n <li>Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.</li>\n <li>Expert knowledge of generation interconnection process in different ISOs, especially in ERCOT. </li>\n <li>In-depth knowledge of power system fundamentals, software in power systems and emerging energy technology trends</li>\n <li>Demonstrated expertise in detailed understanding of the analytical tools/software used in the industry.</li>\n <li>Strong customer focus, both internal and external.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate attention to details and being comfortable to be outside of the comfort zone.</li>\n <li>Proactive in learning new technology and engineering knowledge. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>How we support you:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Comprehensive health and wellness benefits including medical, dental, and vision with 100% premium coverage for you.</li>\n <li>Generous PTO and paid holidays</li>\n <li>Continuous Education Benefits</li>\n <li>Work with industry leaders</li>\n <li>401K, up to a 4% match (100% vested from day 1)</li>\n <li>Flexible Work including hybrid and remote possibilities based on position.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> <strong><em>Travel</em></strong>:  Occasional travel may be needed (10% or less)</p>\n<p><em><strong> </strong></em></p>\n<p><em>EPE is an equal opportunity/AA/Disability/Veteran employer.
