We seek motivated professionals to support our strong and growing project pipeline.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At REE, you will have the opportunity to apply your academic and professional knowledge to the real world and Tier 1 energy and resource clients, based at our <strong>Perth </strong>office.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our projects include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Mine waste and tailings management studies</li>\n <li>Tailings storage facility design</li>\n <li>Mine site civil infrastructure design</li>\n <li>Mine closure planning and design</li>\n <li>Dam safety reviews and audits</li>\n <li>Geotechnical investigations, assessments and analysis to support the above.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/.</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>This role focuses on support our client’s tailings and mine waste management and operational teams to ensure their facilities are safe.  Compliance to the latest standards (which are evolving) is critical for mining companies to demonstrate their commitment to ESG and for the Social License to Operate. This role forms part of our team to provide the technical and operation support for Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs) and Water Storage Facilities (WSF).  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a Tailings / Geotechnical Engineer, this role requires the application of the tasks listed below (geotechnical engineer), but also an expanding knowledge of all elements and disciplines required to design these facilities, such as hydrogeology, process, geochemistry, water, civil engineering and social engagement.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Some of the key responsibilities may include:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Civil/Geotechnical/Tailings dam design; </li>\n <li>Geotechnical analyses using various software packages;</li>\n <li>Oversee and co-ordinate geotechnical field investigation programs</li>\n <li>Oversee and co-ordinate geotechnical laboratory testing programs</li>\n <li>Work closely with Engineers-of-Record (EoR) on long-term operational projects</li>\n <li>Write technical reports, proposals, and papers</li>\n <li>Develop geotechnical assessments and analysis capabilities</li>\n <li>Build and maintain strong relationships with clients</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education and Licensure</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (required)</li>\n <li>Be eligible for membership of Engineers Australia and either have or be working towards CPENG status (required)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills, Experience and Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>1-5+ years of consulting experience operating within a geotechnical practice group</li>\n <li>Experience with using geotechnical logging software (Tablogs, Holebase, etc)</li>\n <li>Competent in the use of GIS or CAD package/s</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of geotechnical investigation standards and practices</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of Health and Safety planning, processes and procedures</li>\n <li>Past experience with geotechnical investigations at mine sites</li>\n <li>Experience with geotechnical interpretation (i.e. CPiET) and analysis (i.e. Slope/W).</li>\n <li>Familiarity with dam safety guidelines including ANCOLD, GISTM, CDA and WA-DMR</li>\n <li>Civil or tailings engineering general</li>\n <li>Experience in the GIS, CAD or Tailings Modelling software (i.e. QGIS, 12d, AutoCAD, Civil3D, or Muk3D)</li>\n</ul>",
