    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>West Side Tractor Sales<br>Service Technician- DOL Registered Apprenticeship Program<br>Service Department<br>Reports To: Service Manager</strong></p><p>West Side Tractor Sales&rsquo; Apprenticeship Program provides a structured and progressive learning environment for candidates that are interested in pursuing a career as a Heavy Equipment Service Technician. &nbsp;Apprentices are paired with an experienced technician mentor at their branch that is a trusted resource for assistance and guides learning activities. &nbsp;Apprentices under this program must be enrolled at Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana.</p><p>Service Technicians perform basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer owned equipment.</p><p><strong>Service Technician Job Duties:</strong></p><p>- Diagnosis, recondition and repair of equipment and components under the supervision of a Journeyman Technician<br>- Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment<br>- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion<br>- Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments<br>- Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments<br>- Accounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties<br>- Participates in West Side&rsquo;s Safety Program<br>- Other duties as assigned</p><p><strong>Experience, Education, Skills &amp; Knowledge:</strong></p><p>- Enrolled in an approved technician program at Ivy Tech Community College<br>- Demonstrates basic mechanical skills; Good working knowledge of basic equipment operations and mechanical functions<br>- Ability to work as a team member<br>- Computer skills in data entry, basic navigation and Internet</p><p><strong>Physical Requirements of this position:</strong></p><p>- Ability to lift, manipulate, and move items weighing upwards of 50 lbs. repeatedly<br>- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, kneel and squat as required by assigned task<br>- Noise level is generally loud<br>- Exposure to dust, fumes, gases and chemicals<br>- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts<br>- Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination</p></div>\n",
