Our mission is to provide services for young adults 18-21 who are experiencing homelessness. Our goals are to provide them with safe housing; to stabilize employment, build skills, to connect them with ongoing resources and support within the community; to help them become self-sufficient so that they can start their lives and break the cycle of homelessness and dependency. Our services include standard outpatient, crisis work, assessments for both mental health, and substance use disorder. We provide client-centered services to all we serve. If you enjoy working in a team environment that is committed to changing the lives of young adults, please keep reading.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>What it is like to work here:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a Salt Lake County agency, Youth Services is large enough to have the resources to assist clients, but small enough to individualize our services to each youth we serve. Most of our clinical team has over 10 years of service working as a clinician for Youth Services. </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Surround yourself with:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Peers who are motivated to make a difference in the lives of those we serve. We serve young adults from all walks of life and social status. We have a 45% Direct Service Ratio to provide the clinicians the time they need for documentation, trainings, and staff meetings. <strong>Our clinicians have an option for flexible schedules based on personal and business needs. Youth Services is not contract based. We do not expect, nor do we want you to double book clients.</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>We encourage a work life balance:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Salt Lake County Youth Services our clinicians are eligible for <strong>12 holidays</strong>, <strong>up to 24 vacation days, 12 sick days, one personal preference day every year, and up to an additional 5 days of bonus time off, all paid!</strong> We also pay for one conference/symposium a year up to $250. If not fully licensed, we provide all necessary supervision to become fully licensed. Provides crisis intervention, clinical assessment, direct service, and referrals. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Grade 14</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Current license in the State of Utah as a Certified Social Worker (CSW), Certified Social Worker Intern (CSWi), Certified Professional Counselor Intern (CPCI), Associate Professional Counselor (APC), Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT), Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACHMC); Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (MFTI).</p>\n<p>Incumbents with a CSWi licensure must obtain a CWS license within 90 days or provide written documentation from DOPL of an extension. </p>\n<p><strong><u></u></strong>Grade 14 salary = $51,531.00 - $77,299.00 Depending on Experience</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Grade 15</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Current license in the State of Utah as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).</p>\n<p>Grade 15 salary = $60,136.00 - $90,206.00 Depending on Experience</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs clinical assessments, develops crisis and treatment plans based on the assessment, tracks and modifies the plan as required.</li>\n <li>Provides direct clinical services including crisis intervention, short term individual, and group counseling.</li>\n <li>Provides case management which may include coordinating and linking young adults to community resources, consulting with other providers, and making referrals as needed.</li>\n <li>Completes case documentation and all required reports in the appropriate format and in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Performs other related duties as assigned, including but not limited to, supervising interns, holiday clinical coverage, attendance at meetings, and serving on committees.</li>\n <li>Complies with codes of professional ethics; strictly follow agency policies, procedures, and code of conduct.</li>\n</ul>",
