    "description_html": "<p><u><strong>Weekends and shift work required</strong></u></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Purpose:</strong> The Campus Security Officer helps to ensure the security of the Episcopal School of Dallas campus and its students, employees, visitors, and property through the effective execution of established policies and procedures.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p><p>Ensures the security and safety of the campus and its constituents at all times.</p><ul><li>Campus Security    <ul>      <li>Locks and unlocks campus and building entrances and exits at designated times and as authorized otherwise.</li>      <li>Provides security at campus and building entrances through established protocols.</li>      <li>Provides directions and information as needed.</li>      <li>Provides security at designated events as required.</li>      <li>Checks parent and visitor identification and authorization information.</li>    </ul></li><li>Patrols school grounds and parking areas by vehicle and on foot; observes employees, students, and visitors in order to ensure a secure and safe environment.</li><li>Operates security software systems, uses email and computer communications, monitors and records CCTV systems, monitors weather systems.</li><li>Responds to alarms and emergencies.</li><li>Prepares logs and reports; documents daily activities, illegal activity and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.</li><li>Campus Safety    <ul>      <li>Monitors the campus for environmental hazards and takes corrective action as required by school policy.</li>      <li>Directs or assists with vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow during student drop-off/pickup periods and special events.</li>      <li>Maintains and monitors multiple radio channels, security cameras, fire alarm system, weather alert system, and access controls.</li>      <li>Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.</li>    </ul></li><li>Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Abuse Risk Management Standards:</strong></p><ul><li>Adheres to policies related to boundaries with students.</li><li>Attends required abuse risk management training.</li><li>Reports suspicious and inappropriate behaviors.</li><li>Follows mandated abuse reporting requirements.</li></ul><p><strong>Working Environment:</strong></p><ul><li>Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling.</li><li>Generally, 40% sitting, 40% walking, and 20% standing.</li><li>Regular exposure to outdoor conditions.</li><li>Potential exposure to dangerous situations.</li><li>Extended periods of isolated work.</li></ul>",
