We specialize in Critical Environments such as Data Centres, Life Sciences, Aviation, High Value Manufacturing and Critical Logistics.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">We are currently seeking experienced and talented Senior Engineers to join our high performing project team in Cork.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">If you would like to join a company who wins high profile projects with blue chip clients and if you enjoy working in a stimulating environment, then Flynn is the company for you.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">REPORTING TO:              Project Manager/Contracts Manager</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">Purpose of Role</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Manage construction works on site to ensure that they are completed safely in line with the program &amp; in accordance with the project drawings, specifications &amp; Building Regulations.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">Role Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Assume day-to-day management of the site technical &amp; engineering requirements (RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings, Design Team Workshops, etc.).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Ensure quality control measures on the site are implemented and are in line with the overall BCAR plan for the project. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors in the planning &amp; construction of the project.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Support the Project Manager/Contracts Manager to ensure that works are completed as per programme, on budget to a high standard.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Identify any information gaps, develop solutions and rectify in conjunction with the project and design teams.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Maintain excellent relationships with the construction project team and subcontractors.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">The Candidate</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Third level qualification in Engineering or related discipline.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Knowledge of various types of construction and construction techniques.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Competent in all aspects of set out, survey &amp; level, temporary works co-ordination.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Strong numeracy and report writing skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Ability to formulate plans and execute in line with budget and timeline.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Ability to make informed decisions &amp; know when to escalate.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Computer literate and familiar with MS Project, (or similar scheduling package).</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">Career Path</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Flynn implement a highly structured career progression programme through a continual professional development programme (PDP) and mentoring programme which has been the foundation to our success.
