From observation/inspection services to laboratory testing and materials and forensic engineering, our Construction Materials Engineering and Testing market helps to develop and maintain America's infrastructure and supply chain and is a recognized industry leader with more than 25 accredited laboratories.  </p>\n<p>Kleinfelder's <strong>Los Angeles, CA</strong> office is seeking multi-certified <strong>ICC Special Inspectors/CWI</strong> to join our Southern California team. We provide construction inspection and material testing services to a broad range of local and national clients. We are looking for individuals who are interested in joining a dynamic team and building their career in the field of construction inspection and materials testing. We're looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications. The inspector will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of their supervisor. </p>\n<p><strong>Consideration for this position requires the following certifications or experience:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>AWS Certified Welding Inspector</li>\n <li>ICC Certifications</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>In addition to the above required certifications, hiring preference with be given to those with any of the following desired certifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) certifications (Concrete, DIA, Welding, Fireproofing)</li>\n <li>Firestop</li>\n <li>Los Angeles County </li>\n <li>ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade I  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Desired Skills</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team</li>\n <li>Excellent organizational, interposal, and communication skills both written and verbal</li>\n <li>Must be able to use a computer and have a general knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and photo management software</li>\n <li>Ability to learn and grow with technological demands pertaining to daily field reports and field data </li>\n</ul>\n<p><u><strong>Kleinfelder Offers</strong></u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>An excellent compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays</li>\n <li>Certification cost reimbursement</li>\n <li>Hourly rate incentive and bonus program to obtain additional certifications</li>\n <li>Reimbursement for certification renewals and jurisdictional certifications</li>\n <li>Paid travel and mileage from your home office to and from project sites</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is a career opportunity to become a member of a highly successful, fast paced team with a steady and growing backlog of large projects. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
