    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Pay:&nbsp; $ 39.57 per hour</strong><br><strong>Work schedule:</strong>&nbsp;<strong>On call as needed</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Benefit package includes:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>401(k) retirement plan</li>\n <li>Career advancement opportunities</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Work with a purpose!&nbsp;</strong>Management &amp; Training Corporation (MTC) operates the<strong> Imperial Regional Detention Facility in Calexico, California. </strong>We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff<strong>&nbsp;</strong>while helping non-citizens gain valuable skills and treatment necessary for success upon release.&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>What you'll do: </strong>Detention Officers are responsible for the custody and discipline of non-citizens assigned to the unit.&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Search for contraband and provide security.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Count, feed and supervise detainees in housing, work, and other areas.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Perform specific security functions including ‘pat’ and ‘strip’ searches, by squatting and bending to perform such functions.</li>\n <li>Transfer and transport detainees by walking, driving, or riding in vehicles.</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Education and Experience Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent required.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>STC and 832 certifications preferred.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Prior corrections experience is preferred.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Must be at least 21 years of age.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license in the state of California with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.25in\">Management &amp; Training Corporation (MTC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
