By recognizing and reinforcing their innate strengths and ability to cope, we at Graham Windham empower them to take the lead in making change in their lives. &nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>About the Position:</strong> &nbsp;</p><p>The Middle School Educational Specialist will provide comprehensive educational advocacy and support to help students perform at grade level, gain promotion to the next grade and enter quality middle schools and high schools. The Specialist will provide assistance to youth directly and to case planners and parents/caregivers, as well as foster and kinship parents to meet the educational needs of 5<sup>th</sup> through 8<sup>th</sup> graders. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p><span style=\"color: black;font-family: Franklin Gothic Book;\"><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):</strong></span> &nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:22.5pt;\"><span style=\"color: black;background-color: white;font-family: Symbol;\">&middot;</span> <span style=\"color: black;background-color: white;\">Work with up to 50 5th through 8th graders and their families and case planners</span> &nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:22.5pt;\"><span style=\"color: black;background-color: white;font-family: Symbol;\">&middot;</span> <span style=\"color: black;background-color: white;\">Provide educational advocacy to ensure students are receiving the supports/services they need to succeed in school.</span> &nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:22.5pt;\"><span style=\"color: black;background-color: white;font-family: Symbol;\">&middot;</span> <span style=\"color: black;background-color: white;\">Provide individualized assistance with the high school selection processes to 7th and 8th grade students and their families.
