Technologist trained as generalists may be assigned to any area or combination of areas. Apply now and be a part of something extraordinary at Johns Hopkins Intrastaff! </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Accurately performs routine and special clinical laboratory tests in the Core Laboratory (Chemistry & Hematology). </li>\n <li>Performs tests requiring independent judgment with minimal supervision. </li>\n <li>Has the capacity to operate clinical laboratory equipment in the completion of automated and manual procedures. </li>\n <li>Must have knowledge and proficiency in Sysmex XN3000, CS2500, and iris/Clinitek in regards to Hematology and/or Roche Cobas analyzers in regards to chemistry and blood testing. </li>\n <li>Must have knowledge and proficiency in Chepheid analyzer for micro tests.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Must meet one or more of the following requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college or university.</li>\n <li>Successful completion 3 years of academic study (minimum of 90 semester hours) which met specific requirements for entrance into a school of medical technology and has successfully completed a course of trainingof at least 12 months in such a school.</li>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree in one of the chemical, physical or biological sciences and has at least 1 year of pertinent full-time laboratory experience and/or training in the specialty or sub-specialty in which the individual performs tests.</li>\n <li>Successful completion of 3 years (90 semester hours) of college with the following distribution of courses</li>\n <li>Certification through ASCP or AMT as an MT, CLS, or MLS is required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Johns Hopkins Health System and its affiliates are an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
