    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Phlebotomist will collect and handle various sample types from patients of all ages in a professional and compassionate manner. Certification in phlebotomy and/or relevant experience in patient care is a plus. Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient interaction. This Full-time position will be scheduled to work Monday thru Friday from 9:00am - 5:30pm.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain accuracy in all work; Complete tasks on time and per any deadlines, label specimens with a high degree of accuracy, ensure proper tubes are used for each blood test ordered</li>\n <li>Verify the identity of every patient before collecting any samples</li>\n <li>identification and sample collection using paper orders in the event of an interruption in computer service</li>\n <li>Be aware of Medicare guidelines, send-out test requirements, and special tests; Explain Medicare ABNs to patients clearly and accurately</li>\n <li>Perform venipuncture and finger/heel stick procedures with a high degree of professionalism and concern for the patient, including a minimum of 2 sticks per encounter</li>\n <li>Collect nasal and throat swabs and blood cultures when needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or GED</li>\n <li><em>Experience preferred; but not required</em></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>About MANA</strong> Medical Associates of Northwest Arkansas (MANA) is an independent physician group that includes family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health and an array of specialists and advanced health services.
