A CDL license is not required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why work for H&K Group, Inc.? </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li>\n <li>100% Company-paid Health Benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) Savings and Investment Plan</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement programs available to qualifying employees for approved programs</li>\n <li>Additional training programs including on the job, online through H&K Academy, manufacturer offered training, and more</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies</li>\n <li>Perform all work in a safe and professional manner.</li>\n <li>Perform plant maintenance.</li>\n <li>Maintain clean work areas including catwalks, walk-ways and general plant area.</li>\n <li>Proactively learn plant functions and operations.</li>\n <li>Obtain all knowledge to complete assigned tasks.</li>\n <li>Take direction from and work in a team with all other site personnel.</li>\n <li>Cross train to learn all jobs of plant and be able to substitute when necessary.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR related experience and/or training\n  <ul>\n   <li>A combination of education and experience may be considered</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Effective verbal and written communication</li>\n <li>Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)</li>\n <li>Must be able to stick weld and torch</li>\n <li>Must pass a weld test</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>3+ months related experience</li>\n <li>Experience operating heavy equipment\n  <ul>\n   <li>Strong preference for Loader operation experience</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Experience working in a quarry, heavy civil construction, or other outdoor industrial setting</li>\n <li>MSHA or other relevant safety certification</li>\n <li>Familiar with quarry maintenance</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly required to stand and walk</li>\n <li>Frequently required to \n  <ul>\n   <li>Use hands to finger, handle, or feel</li>\n   <li>Reach with hands and arms</li>\n   <li>Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl</li>\n   <li>Talk or hear</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Occasionally required to sit</li>\n <li>Lift and/or move \n  <ul>\n   <li>Up to 25 pounds regularly</li>\n   <li>Up to 50 pounds frequently</li>\n   <li>Up to 100 pounds occasionally</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Specific vision needs include\n  <ul>\n   <li>Depth perception </li>\n   <li>Ability to adjust focus</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly exposed to \n  <ul>\n   <li>Moving mechanical parts</li>\n   <li>Outside weather conditions</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Frequently exposed to \n  <ul>\n   <li>High, precarious places</li>\n   <li>Fumes or airborne particles</li>\n   <li>Vibration</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock</li>\n <li>Noise level is usually loud</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>With an extensive mining history dating to the 1930’s, H&K Group, Inc.’s (H&K’s) <strong>Douglassville Quarry</strong> (formerly Pottstown Trap Rock - Douglassville Quarry) defines construction aggregate.
