You will have the opportunity to work closely with engineers across the broader NovAtel organization as well as with customers to implement state‑of‑the‑art positioning algorithms, perform detailed data analysis, and contribute to firmware qualification activities. Leveraging your experience in GNSS RTK/PPP, along with strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical problem‑solving approach, you will play a key role in supporting ongoing business initiatives within a dynamic high‑tech environment. In this role, you will support some of the industry's leading companies by coordinating and demonstrating Hexagon Autonomous Solutions’ innovative products and assisting new customers in integration with their systems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Location: </strong>Hexagon is a global company with locations worldwide. Preference will be given to candidates in Calgary, AB. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>As a <strong>Senior Geomatics Engineer</strong> you will be responsible for the following: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work individually and in small teams to research, develop, and enhance NovAtel’s industry-leading positioning algorithms</li>\n <li>Drive the design, implementation and verification of features throughout the product lifecycle</li>\n <li>Interface with marketing, product managers, and the systems team to create robust and complete requirements</li>\n <li>Collaborate with verification designers to plan, execute tests, and develop automated test suites</li>\n <li>Analyze data using graphical and statistical tools to evaluate solutions and identify and investigate firmware defects</li>\n <li>Explore new advancements in positioning and find ways to incorporate them into our products</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Must-Have:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>B.Sc. in Geomatics/Electrical/Software Engineering with 8+ years of industrial experience or M.Sc. in Geomatics/Electrical/Software Engineering with 5+ years of industrial experience or Ph.D. in Geomatics/Electrical/Software Engineering with 3+ years of industrial experience</li>\n <li>Proven industrial experience on GNSS high-precision positioning engine</li>\n <li>Deep understanding of linear and non-linear optimization, advanced parameter estimation, and computational numerical methods.</li>\n <li>Strong embedded C/C++ programming skills</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Success Factors:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to solve complex engineering problems with practical solutions. </li>\n <li>Innate sense of curiosity and conscientiousness</li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team</li>\n <li>Derive satisfaction from your work being used in demanding real world applications</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Nice-to-Have:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams</li>\n <li>Programming skills in Python and Matlab</li>\n</ul>",
