Then make AIT Worldwide Logistics the next stop on your career ladder!</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The International Operations Agent – Export (Expediteur) is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day export of international freight forwarding shipments into and out of the EU across all modes of international transportation based upon customer requests. He/she will provide special expertise in international air operations.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Work with customers to qualify their shipping requirements and obtain all details (regulations, certificates, documentation) necessary for shipment quotation and operating in order to ensure the customer’s request is satisfied</li>\n <li>Prepare profitable quotations accurately</li>\n <li>Set shipping schedules and communicate with customers, deliverers, and ports to verify loading, departures, and arrivals in a timely manner</li>\n <li>Coordinate the day-to-day export of products, including reviewing orders and documents</li>\n <li>Track and communicate all delays, damages, problems and work to resolve customer issues</li>\n <li>Responsible for all aspects of air and/or road international operations such as customer service, data entry of shipments, operations and billing</li>\n <li>Manage all aspects of tracking shipments to ensure shipment is moving as scheduled and update system immediately upon verification. Identify and rectify if a shipment has deviated from its schedule</li>\n <li>Coordinate recovery/delivery schedules with various cartage agents and international partners</li>\n <li>Partner with local sales teams to communicate problems to customers, international partners, and other stations, as needed</li>\n <li>Ensure all customers’ SOP instructions are adhered to and AIT KPIs and guidelines are followed and met</li>\n <li>Ensure all shipments are properly billed within company guidelines and timelines</li>\n <li>Process and comply with all requirements listed by regulatory agencies</li>\n <li>Network with corresponding departments to ensure files are billed and posted prior to end of month</li>\n <li>Continuous learning through required compliance training and certifications of software and/or regulations</li>\n <li>Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary</li>\n <li>Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable)</li>\n <li>Contribute actively to a healthy and secure work environment by reporting unsafe / unsecure / unhealthy conditions and possible improvements</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>min. 2 years experience within freight forwarding within air freight</li>\n <li>Must be able to perform in a fast pace / high volume work environment</li>\n <li>Attention to detail</li>\n <li>Problem Solving</li>\n <li>Fluent oral and written English is a must</li>\n <li>Additional (major) European languages would be an asset</li>\n <li>Strong PC skills (Windows, Microsoft Office applications) preferred</li>\n <li>Cargo Wise Software experience a plus</li>\n <li>ITAR, Dangerous Goods or TSA work experience / regulations</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What AIT Can Offer You</h2>\n<p>In addition to a competitive salary and benefits, we offer great programs for our employees, for example, 5 volunteer hours a year to give back to the community in a charitable event.  </p>\n<h2>About AIT Worldwide</h2>\n<p>AIT Worldwide Logistics is a global freight forwarding company headquartered in Chicago USA.
