    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p><strong>Dewberry</strong> is seeking a responsible, highly motivated, and detail oriented individual to join our structures department in <strong>Rancho Cordova, CA</strong> as a <strong>Senior Structures/Project Engineer (Bridge). </strong>The successful candidate will be part of a team designing simple and complex bridges (primarily of concrete and steel construction) and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, culverts, sign structures, and other miscellaneous structures). The candidate will also be involved in leading and developing Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) packages, field inspections, and performing construction design support services.  Project Engineering responsibilities include being the technical lead on multidisciplinary teams, utility coordination, right-of-way needs assessments, funding justifications, and other items needed for project development. Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Independently prepares project plan and estimate (P&E) packages including quantities, calculations, reports, and exhibits on small to mid level projects</li>\n <li>Works as part of a team preparing project plan and estimate (P&E) packages including quantities, calculations, reports, and exhibits on large level projects</li>\n <li>Leads project teams and coordinates between disciplines to oversee project delivery</li>\n <li>Prepares notes for specification writers and standard Caltrans style structures specifications</li>\n <li>Works closely and coordinates with other disciplines including CAD drafters</li>\n <li>Participates and leads utility, permitting, and subconsultant coordination on projects</li>\n <li>Performs QA/QC on projects per internal standards</li>\n <li>Prepares QA/QC checklist packages per internal standards</li>\n <li>Mentors and supervises younger staff</li>\n <li>Leads and assists in preparing proposal write-ups and exhibits</li>\n <li>Leads and assists in preparing scopes, fees, and proposal packages</li>\n <li>Participates and leads efforts in internal technical trainings</li>\n <li>Prepares RE Pending Files and is involved with bidding and construction support services</li>\n <li>Attends periodic site visits, structures observations, and other field meetings</li>\n <li>Monitors and manages scopes and budgets during project production efforts</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Skills & Required Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited 4-year engineering college</li>\n <li>Master’s degree is preferred</li>\n <li>California Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred</li>\n <li>10+ years of experience in bridge and retaining wall projects</li>\n <li>Experience designing transportation related structures projects to Caltrans and local agency standards</li>\n <li>Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications with Caltrans Amendments</li>\n <li>Preference for knowledge of CTBridge, CSiBridge, VBent, CTAbut, LPile, and/or similar analysis programs</li>\n <li>Proficiency using CADD (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred)</li>\n <li>Strong leadership skills and desire to deliver the highest quality projects to our clients</li>\n <li>Proficient in MS Office (WORD and EXCEL)</li>\n <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Strong leadership skills and desire to deliver the highest quality projects to our clients</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Don’t meet every single requirement?
