We are looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant who is interested in the 12 bed Rehab Unit and the 17 bed LTACH of the Hospital. The PTA will work closely not only with the other rehabilitation employees but also the nursing team, respiratory team, dietician and physicians.<br><br><p><strong>Summary:&nbsp;</strong>The Physical Therapy Assistant provides physical rehabilitation therapy services to assigned patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist in accordance with the PTA Practice Act in the state.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Helps patients to improve their mobility through exercise and other techniques.</li><li>Interprets and carries out protocol orders accurately and effectively.</li><li>Develops and maintains current patient treatment plan to include patient problems, goals and interventions as it relates to therapy. &nbsp;Effectively evaluates the outcomes of interventions and implements necessary changes to care.</li><li>Monitors a patient&#39;s progress and treatment, documents patient records and communicates frequently with the Physical Therapist and care provider team.</li><li>Encourages the patient during their recovery process.</li><li>Assists patients in performing the exercise and mobility techniques.</li><li>Teaches patients, family members or other Caregivers skills and techniques to help with the patients&#39; treatment program.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Associate degree from an Accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.</li><li>Physical Therapy License in Missouri</li><li>BLS Certification Required</li><li>1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant</li></ul><p><strong>About us:</strong> Landmark Hospitals is a privately owned, five hospital system with locations in Georgia and Missouri.
