We offer comprehensive medical and surgical care, including laser cataract surgery, LASIK, vision correction, glaucoma, retina and vitreous disease treatments and more.</p>\n<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>We are now hiring for an Ophthalmic technician that will support a high-volume ophthalmic practice that focuses on providing quality and compassionate care to each patient needing complete eye care services.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Ophthalmic skills include: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Obtaining and documenting patient history</li>\n <li>Determining visual acuity</li>\n <li>Performing automated and manual refraction for diagnostic purposes</li>\n <li>Performing basic lensometry</li>\n <li>Pupillary assessment</li>\n <li>Visual field testing</li>\n <li>PAM</li>\n <li>Basic ocular motility assessment</li>\n <li>Automated keratometry</li>\n <li>Osmolarity testing</li>\n <li>Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physician</li>\n <li>Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMR, providing patient services</li>\n <li>Measurement of intraocular pressure (tonometry)</li>\n <li>Pre-operative preparation of patient</li>\n <li>Maintaining equipment and instruments</li>\n <li>Perform ocular imaging including OCT, </li>\n <li>Topography</li>\n <li>Post-operative education</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>• 3-5 years of ophthalmic technician experience preferred </p>\n<p>• COA preferred </p>\n<p>• Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required </p>\n<p>• Must be flexible with traveling to various locations</p>\n<p>• Ability to pay attention to detail </p>\n<p>• Ability to maintain confidentiality </p>\n<p>• The ability to seek instruction in areas where he/she is not knowledgeable </p>\n<p>• The ability to recognize inconsistencies </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Education/Certifications: </p>\n<p>• Graduation from an accredited high school</p>\n<h2>Company Benefits</h2>\n<p>We offer a competitive benefits package to our employees:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical</li>\n <li>Dental</li>\n <li>Vision</li>\n <li>401k w/ Match</li>\n <li>HSA/FSA</li>\n <li>Telemedicine</li>\n <li>Generous PTO Package</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We also offer the following benefits for FREE:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Employee Discounts and Perks</li>\n <li>Employee Assistance Program</li>\n <li>Group Life/AD&D </li>\n <li>Short Term Disability Insurance </li>\n <li>Long Term Disability Insurance </li>\n</ul>\n<p>EyeSouth Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
