This position is responsible for picking product and packing for shipment, preparing outbound freight and air shipments to include international shipping as well. This position requires a strong focus on administrative duties/responsibilities to include, record organization and retention. &nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Job Functions:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintains safe work habits including safe operation of powered industrial trucks (P.I.T.) and proper lifting techniques.</li><li>Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and transportation methods used.</li><li>Follow standard work instructions to ensure high accuracy and quality of product to our customer.</li><li>Keeps picked orders organized and with all proper paperwork.</li><li>Effectively selects correct size boxes &amp; packs utilizing stable gun, packing produce, tape dispenser.</li><li>Systematically locates product for shipment, pulls proper product/quantity and delivers to packing lines utilizing various material handling equipment.</li><li>Uses order system (Oracle) to pick wave, look up material transaction history, run and read reports.</li><li>Self-sufficient in routine assigned tasks and capable of independent follow-up related to these tasks.</li><li>Operates material handling equipment as required to move parts, fixtures and materials.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensures on-time delivery of product.</li><li>Problem solves for customers and suppliers about shipping routes, delayed items, and rush orders.</li><li>Ensures that all responsibilities and functions performed are in accordance with company policy and procedures and meet required quality standards.&nbsp;</li><li>Reports all non-conformances to appropriate levels.</li><li>Must be able to obtain power industrial truck certification.</li><li>Conducts checks of equipment operated&nbsp;</li><li>Advises supervisor of conduct that may violate rules, policies, and procedures.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA&rsquo;s):</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Safety</strong> &ndash; Understands safe operation of equipment, tools and PPE. &nbsp;Recognizes potential for dangerous situations; uses safe work practices. &nbsp;Utilizes behavior based safety methods to sustain a safe working environment.</li><li><strong>Teamwork/Relationships&nbsp;</strong>&ndash; Works with other employees willingly and in a spirit of cooperation and teamwork. &nbsp;Supports cooperation. &nbsp;Demonstrates a commitment to the entire business and is supportive of all initiatives (company and departmental) to help grow the business. &nbsp;Cooperates fully with others to achieve organizational goals.
