    "description": "<h2>Position Description</h2>\n<p><strong>At a Glance</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Legrand </strong>has an exciting opportunity for a <strong>Manufacturing Engineer </strong>to join the Audio Video Division in <strong>Union, OH.</strong> The Manufacturing Engineer will provide day to day support on products being built in the manufacturing assembly area(s). This would include working with the assembly team in the identification of continuous improvement ideas that utilize lean manufacturing principles. These improvements would target processes and procedures that will enhance the quality and repeatability of the assembly process and increase productivity.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What Will You Do?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Identify process and assembly improvements and work with a senior engineer to implement improvement ideas into the manufacturing area using lean manufacturing principles.</li>\n <li>Provide troubleshooting support to the manufacturing floor.</li>\n <li>Create and maintain manufacturing processes and procedures.</li>\n <li>Provide input on the design of new product line assembly cells and implement their setup.</li>\n <li>Provide process and procedural training to assembly personnel.</li>\n <li>Participate in new product design reviews to identify design for manufacturability (DFM) issues and opportunities.</li>\n <li>Review assembly documentation for accuracy through ECO reviews.</li>\n <li>Work with packaging vendors to design custom packaging solution for high volume assemblies.</li>\n <li>Design and implement assembly fixtures that will increase efficiencies on the manufacturing floor.</li>\n <li>Provide Return on Investment (ROI) justification on capital expenditures.</li>\n <li>Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in Safety Programs, initiatives, and investigations.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate our five core values of Integrity, Customer Responsiveness, Innovation, Passionate Contribution & Empowerment and Continuous Improvement.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Education and Experience Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor of Science degree in manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering or other related technical degree with a minimum of six (6) months engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; or combination of relevant education and experience.</li>\n <li>3D CAD work experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.</li>\n <li>An understanding of lean manufacturing principles.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a team environment.</li>\n <li>Proficient in the use of personal computers, internet and Microsoft Office suite of software including Word, Excel and Outlook (or related e-mail system).</li>\n <li>Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.</li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to interpret standards, specifications, procedures, drawings, etc.</li>\n <li>Strong mechanical aptitude.</li>\n <li>Ability to train and motivate employees at all levels.</li>\n <li>Ability to make sound decisions within established guidelines.</li>\n <li>Ability to demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and to appropriately prioritize workload based upon organization or department needs.</li>\n <li>Be detail-oriented and have excellent follow-through skills.</li>\n <li>Must possess high degree of professionalism.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Special Job Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be available for extended, varied work hours based on business need.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with Solidworks.</li>\n <li>Experience with SAP.</li>\n <li>Labeling software experience.</li>\n <li>Machine shop experience.</li>\n <li>Multi-lingual (Spanish, Laotian, etc.)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions/Physical Demands:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to reach above shoulder level, reach below knee level, bend, stoop, squat/kneel, climb; and lift, push or pull 50 lbs.
