    "descriptionText": "Salary: USD 37,700–37,700\n\n Description\n\n Description \n\nCal Farley's Boys Ranch is a nonprofit child and family service organization that provides residential family style living in a rural setting for boys and girls in need of a safe, home like environment. We are currently seeking House Parents to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct care services and creating a home like environment for children in need.\n\n Please Note:  This position is  based at our main campus in Boys Ranch, Texas , located approximately 40 miles northwest of Amarillo. Applicants from across the country are welcome to apply, but relocation to Boys Ranch is  required .\n\nThe House Parent plays an instrumental role in creating a positive and nurturing environment for children who need a safe place to call home. As a House Parent you will work directly with children to provide support, guidance, and positive reinforcement. You will help children with daily tasks and activities, and you will be responsible for creating a sense of family within your home.\n\n Responsibilities \n\n Live in your assigned cottage, helping to care for and provide for up to eight children.\n Teach and lead cottage rules and daily routines.\n Provide encouragement, guidance, and counseling to residents.\n Participate in educational and recreational activities with the youth.\n Ensure that all children’s physical needs (food, shelter, etc.) are met.\n Help children build self esteem and gain skills to overcome difficult situations.\n Act as a positive role model to youth by demonstrating appropriate behaviors and attitudes towards others.\n\n Requirements\n\n Requirements \n\n A high school diploma or equivalent.\n Experience in childcare or related field is preferred.\n Strong communication and interpersonal skills.\n Ability to work collaboratively with a team.\n Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.\n Must possess a valid driver's license.\n Must be 21 or older.\n Ability to work independently with strong problem solving and decision making skills.\n\n Benefits\n\n Benefits \n\n 1500.00 signing Bonus\n 1000.00 Annual retention bonus\n Annual COLA (Cost of Living adjustment) provided.\n Housing, Utilities, and some meals provided\n Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)\n Retirement Plan (401k, Roth) with 5% Company match!\n Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)\n Paid Time Off & Personal Days\n Short Term & Long Term Disability\n Training & Development\n Wellness Resources & Perks\n Annual Respite Bonus\n Relocation Assistance package\n\nCal Farley's is an Equal Opportunity Employer."
