This role serves as a subject matter expert supporting a Government customer with operational space command and control best practices, software resiliency and availability, secure supply chain considerations, and program execution. The position operates in a highly collaborative environment with program leadership, contracting, engineering, and stakeholder teams to help deliver effective, scalable capability to the mission.</p>\n<h2>Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications</h2>\n<p>This role is central to aligning operational mission needs with disciplined acquisition, systems integration, and program execution. The Space Operations Integrator will work across customer and stakeholder teams to support planning, technical coordination, modernization efforts, and enterprise transition of space-related capabilities. Success in this position requires strong operational judgment, familiarity with acquisition processes and documentation, and the ability to communicate clearly across technical and programmatic audiences.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Advise the Program Manager and senior customer leadership on acquisition strategies, contracting, budgeting, and execution</p></li>\n <li><p>Provide operations expertise across requirements development, systems design, testing, systems integration, and tactical or operational command and control analysis</p></li>\n <li><p>Gather, process, and analyze military tactical and operational data in support of planning and operations</p></li>\n <li><p>Support the secure scaling of prototyped systems into enterprise operational applications for space missions</p></li>\n <li><p>Contribute to the development and refinement of acquisition strategies and identify program execution issues with recommended courses of action</p></li>\n <li><p>Develop presentation materials, status briefings, and strategic communications products to support customer decision-making and program outcomes</p></li>\n <li><p>Perform business case analyses and risk assessments and provide actionable recommendations to program leadership</p></li>\n <li><p>Coordinate daily with program managers, contracting officers, system engineers, and other stakeholder organizations</p></li>\n <li><p>Support best practices related to operational resiliency, software availability, and protection of critical space programs</p></li>\n <li><p>Contribute to the development of effective processes and procedures supporting mission execution and program modernization</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Bachelor’s degree</p></li>\n <li><p>10 years of experience implementing large-scale, highly available, complex software services and application solutions</p></li>\n <li><p>10 years of experience supporting defense space command and control mission areas</p></li>\n <li><p>In-depth experience with program acquisition processes and documentation</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience supporting development, deployment, modernization, and expansion efforts for complex mission systems</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience working across technical, operational, and programmatic stakeholders in a Government customer environment</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop briefings and strategic communications materials</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Experience supporting the Combined Space Operations Center command environment at Vandenberg Space Force Base, including planning and executing global space operations</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience developing best practices for maintenance, administration, engineering, architecture, development, patching, and upgrades of applications and systems used for space operations</p></li>\n <li><p>Understanding of enterprise IT change and configuration management policies and implementation for operational systems, software, and devices</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience managing system configuration and monitoring changes to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and logical access control enforcement</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience supporting a tactical or operational space operations unit</p></li>\n <li><p>Knowledge of Software Acquisition Pathway and DevOps practices</p></li>\n <li><p>Familiarity with defense software acquisition practices described in DoDI 5000.87</p></li>\n <li><p>Familiarity with Jira and Confluence</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Clearance & Additional Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5), adjudicated for SCI eligibility, and enrolled in Continuous Vetting, if applicable</p></li>\n <li><p>Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Programs</p></li>\n <li><p>Must consent to a polygraph examination, as required</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Location</strong></p>\n<p>This position is full-time, on site at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA</p>\n<p><strong>Compensation</strong></p>\n<p>The typical salary range for this position is USD $120,000 - $160,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan and other benefits (all in addition to annual salary).</p>\n<h3> </h3>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Deliverable(s)</h2>\n<p>Deliverables will be in the format of reports, briefings, spreadsheets, or other documents as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance, instructions, policy, or direction.
