    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <p>The APP is a patient-centered, system-oriented teammate who manages the care of all patients within the Complex and General Abdominal Surgery practice. The APP is an integral part of an interdisciplinary team to perform assigned clinical duties, while displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct as well as acting in the best interest of Atrium Health, supporting our mission, vision and values.&nbsp;</p>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <p><strong>Essential Responsibilities/Functions:</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <ul>\n   <li>Performs medical history, physical examinations, routine assessments and determines treatment plan for surgical patients.&nbsp;</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <ul>\n   <li>When necessary, perform rounds on pre- and post-operative patients, and assist with the inpatient care coordination and follow up&nbsp;</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <ul>\n   <li>Independently evaluates new patient consults, follow ups, and post operative patients in clinic 4-5 days per week&nbsp;</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <ul>\n   <li>Opportunity to train, precept, and mentor APP fellows, medical students, and PA/NP students&nbsp;</li>\n Eligibility for licensure to practice as a NP or PA in the state of practice. Eligibility for prescriptive privileges and DEA license required. BLS for healthcare provider from AHA required.
