Job Summary
Thrive Behavioral Health is currently hiring social workers and counselors with active unrestricted Maryland an LCSW-C, LCPC, LMSW, LGPC, LGDAC, LGPAT, LGMFT, or a similar license to work with Thrive's Montgomery County Early Intervention Program to provide behavioral support in the school and community. This position is a year-round opportunity and is geared towards students who have behavioral challenges at school and are at risk for going on a non-public education route. Our goal is to be able to provide behavioral support in the school and home to reduce said behaviors. Services will take place in the Montgomery County School Clusters as well as students’ home.
Additional earnings is possible..
Details of the job:
The position is 40 hours a week year-round, with some flexibility of scheduling
Hourly Rate is starting at $42.19 for LG/LM and $43.17 for LC
Works out of our Silver Spring office
Therapist will not have more than 7 clients at any given time
The direct support of a Thrive therapist aide
Experience with a younger population of 3 years old and up, is highly desired.
Must be familiar with multiple intervention types
Able to form strong connections with integral school staff and families
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain active caseload list of Early Intervention students
Attend interest meetings with Early Intervention team
Assist in program development and related tasks
This position is paid on a hourly basis but therapist may elect to have supplemental income through a fee-for-service model. Desired candidates should be able to collaborate effectively with a team of professionals. Candidates should be able to interact in a professional manner, build productive & positive relationships with others, both internally and externally. The successful candidate will confidently represent agency and its mission.

We serve clients throughout Central Maryland. Our diverse team of clinicians take a proactive approach to treatment by meeting with clients via telehealth and in neighborhoods, homes, and schools to reduce the barriers to traditional mental health treatment. Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
Knowledge of industry standards: organization, theory, principles, and research processes, accreditation and regulatory standards, ability to assess clinical care requirements based on psychotherapeutic and human development principles, scope of practice and regulatory standards.
Treatment knowledge: Provides therapeutic treatment to assigned caseload consistent with treatment plans and conducts effective therapy sessions on a regular basis using appropriate modalities.
Able to work effectively with the client to implement solutions and model appropriate behaviors.
Professional readiness: Issues related to self-awareness, diversity, ethics and continuing education.
Knowledge of PC software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is preferred.
Understanding: code of ethics for respective profession and seeks consultation with supervisor when necessary.
Written and oral communication skills; must be able to concentrate on work amid distractions such as noise, conversations and foot traffic.
Must be able to work independently with little direct supervision in an unstructured environment with multiple demands.
Reading and writing level that can clearly express or understand complex concepts, assessments, directions and processes or sequences of events-level equivalent to at least four years of college.
Ability to represent the program well in interactions both inside and outside the facility
Working knowledge of DSM 5 diagnoses & has the ability to asses and diagnose according to DSM 5 diagnostic criteria.
AGE SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES (CHILDREN, 3-17 YEARS)
Demonstrates the ability to systemically collect, record and analyze data and other relevant interactive social systems, including mental status, special precautions (suicidality, homicidality, elopement); physical problems/medical acuity (withdraw and nutritional needs); and ethical concerns (social, religious, or cultural needs).
Initiates/develops a treatment plan with specific goals and interventions unique to the needs of the patient.
As guided by the treatment plans, implements appropriate interventions that promote, maintain, or restore physical and mental health and restores developmental progression in childhood & adulthood.
Recommends special precautions (such as safety planning or crisis intervention) for children & adults, as needed.
Evaluates the response of the child/adult/family to interventions in order to revise the plan, including discharge criteria.
Knowledgeable of normative developmental milestones in accordance with chronological age.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIRMENTS
Education, Training, and Experience Required:
1. Active, unrestricted and independent to practice in Maryland as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC), or Licensed Graduate Marriage and Family Therapist (LGMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Certified (LCSW-C), Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT) and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
2. Prefer CPR/FFA Certification.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

You may be exposed to other allergens.
