Position Summary As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team.  Located in SE United States  you will be a Field Product Application Engineer!  The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong mechanical and technical skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team. You'll be working with the Industrial Application Engineering team and reporting to the Application Engineer - Power Transmission Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will be working with customers on a variety of product applications primarily in our industrial markets. You will help troubleshoot issues that arise with customer products and help design and recommend solutions using Gates products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Providing engineering service to customers and clients in the proper application and selection of power transmission products Effectively present technical and product training material to internal and external customers Working cooperatively with North American Field Sales, Product Line Managers, and the Marketing Team to achieve organizational success Analyzing application requirements, providing failure analysis, selecting components, and making recommendations to meet system requirements Troubleshooting any questions customers pose via phone, email, and in-person. Building strong relationships is crucial to success in this role Requirements and Preferred Skills Bachelor's Degree, preferrable Mechanical, plus 3-5 years of engineering experience OR 5-10 years of progressive engineering experience, required. Eager to be hands on working with our customers, engineers, sales, and marketing teams! Engineering discipline with a focus on Mechanical and Power Transimission systems, preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills. Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to manage customer personalities effectively. Excellent written and verbal skills - coupled with the ability to maintain and generate product application literature, media, and technical articles. Ability to travel to customers, plants and conferences as required (minimum 25%). Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize resources and project timelines. Proficient in MicroSoft Office products Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship. PAY & BENEFITS Full-Time Salary: $100,000-$120,000 Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options: benefits begin on the first day of the month immediately following your date of hire Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued 401(k): 3% company contribution and additional 3% company match Tuition Reimbursement WHY GATES?
