We are a place where you can belong and become. </p>\n<p><strong>We are genuine:</strong> we value you and embrace your individuality. </p>\n<p><strong>We are hopeful:</strong> we believe in you and your potential to become a catalyst in the world. </p>\n<p><strong>We are nurturing:</strong> we support you in your journey to develop your full potential. </p>\n<p><strong>We are determined:</strong> above all else, we are on a relentless quest to make our community stronger beginning with you.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The YMCA of Greenville is a dynamic and rapidly growing association that seeks to strengthen the community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Supervise and manage groups of school age children during homework; lead them in physical activity games, arts and crafts, nutrition lessons, etc.</li>\n <li>Develop and implement lesson plans for program times utilizing risk management guidelines, developmental characteristics, variety, creativity, and through weekly themes and activities.</li>\n <li>Maintain equipment and facilities, and use only in an appropriate manner.</li>\n <li>Report all program changes to Site Leader or Youth Program Director.</li>\n <li>Be prepared for program responsibilities as assigned including lesson plans, devotions, group activities, Family Events and water activities.</li>\n <li>Assist in Parents Night Out and Special Events as required.</li>\n <li>Build and maintain positive relationships at all times with children, parents and co-workers.</li>\n <li>Create an environment that promotes belonging, achievement, and relationships.</li>\n <li>Adhere to all program rules as outlined in the Staff Manual, Personnel Policy, and Code of Conduct and Risk Management Manual and any other program specific guidelines.</li>\n <li>Assist in maintaining program standards at all times in regards to Quality Check Standards and Licensing Regulations.</li>\n <li>Encouraged to participate in the YMCA’s annual support scholarship campaign.</li>\n <li>Assists in all area of the Y operation as requested by management.</li>\n <li>Assist in maintaining accurate records at all times to including:</li>\n</ul>\n<p>           Attendance rosters           Medication Logs           First Aid Logs           Discipline Reports           Incident Reports           Field Trip Rosters           Field Trip Checklist           Closing Checklist           School Pick up Rosters           Vehicle Logs</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Wears appropriate staff uniform.</li>\n <li>Exemplifies YMCA character values.</li>\n <li>Maintains positive relations at all times with members, participants, and co-workers.</li>\n <li>Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers</li>\n <li>Attend/complete required abuse risk management training</li>\n <li>Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers</li>\n <li>Follow mandated reporting requirements</li>\n <li>Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Requires:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>CPR, First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens and Child Abuse Prevention certifications within 30 days of hiring date.</li>\n <li>40 hours of Pre-Camp Training.</li>\n <li>The ability to be a good role model and to adapt to changing needs and circumstances.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Skills and Experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Some college education.</li>\n</ul>",
