You must be located in or be willing to relocate to the Lower Mainland</strong></em>.<br><br><strong>Your primary areas of responsibility are:</strong><br><br><strong>System Administration:</strong></p><ul><li>Configuration, deployment and maintenance of host servers, VMs, storage, clusters, containers, and networking.</li><li>AD, Group Policy, certificates, OU management, and access.</li><li>Manage Microsoft 365 and Entra: groups, permissions, Enterprise Apps, and GSA.</li><li>SharePoint: creation, access control, external users and groups.</li><li>Manage MDM/RMM platforms including Intune and NinjaOne.</li><li>Administer cloud platforms: Azure (Databricks, resource groups, permissions) and AWS (IAM, EC2, storage, firewall, etc.).</li><li>AI tooling: connectors, user management, and related infrastructure.</li></ul><strong>Application and Asset Management:</strong><ul><li>Administer enterprise software including SQL/PostgreSQL, SYSPRO, EPLAN, ARAS PLM, GitLab, and other business-critical systems.</li><li>Manage software and hardware asset lifecycle across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.</li><li>Maintain backup solutions for VMs, configurations, and code — both on-premises and in the cloud.</li></ul><strong>Network Security:</strong><ul><li>Configure and maintain networking infrastructure including firewalls, switches, and site-to-site communication.</li><li>Deploy and configure SIEM and internal security applications and solutions.</li><li>Review logs and security events; handle incidents using Microsoft Defender and related tools.</li><li>Conduct regular system audits to detect vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.</li><li>Implement security protocols to ensure network stability and safeguard data integrity.</li><li>Manage IT risks, audits, and damage control.</li></ul><strong>Technical Support and Project Management:</strong><ul><li>Provide direct technical support for IT infrastructure, ongoing and new projects, and end-user issues.</li><li>Resolve technical challenges promptly and efficiently in compliance with company policies.</li><li>Collaborate with the IT Manager and project stakeholders to plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.</li></ul><strong>You will be a great fit if you have:</strong><ul><li>A degree, diploma, or certificate in Information Technology or a related field.</li><li>7+ years in system and network administration, both on-premises and in the cloud — including Hyper-V, clusters, storage, Active Directory, Group Policy, MDM, Entra, Intune, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, hybrid environments, ZTNA, and Linux systems.</li><li>Hands-on background with cloud platforms including Azure (Databricks, resource groups) and AWS (IAM, EC2, storage, firewall).</li><li>Proven ability deploying and managing networks, VMs, firewalls, access control, RMM systems (NinjaOne, Intune), backup solutions, and user administration in hybrid environments.</li><li>Familiarity administering enterprise software platforms such as SQL/PostgreSQL, ERP, PLM, or DevOps tools (e.g. GitLab, Docker).</li><li>Working knowledge of AI tooling, connectors, or related infrastructure management.</li><li>Proficiency automating administrative tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.</li><li>A track record supporting IT systems in a corporate environment with 100+ users.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and prevent system issues.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>The ability to independently deliver complex technical initiatives.</li></ul><strong>The following qualifications are preferred but not required:</strong><ul><li>Proficiency in coding and DevOps tools: Git and Docker.</li><li>Background in database administration for SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar platforms.</li><li>Familiarity with IT system lifecycle management and business continuity concepts.</li><li>Knowledge of enterprise ERP and PLM systems.</li></ul><p><strong>Why join Saltworks?</strong></p><p>At Saltworks, you'll collaborate with talented colleagues to solve complex, real-world problems – designing and delivering innovative water treatment and lithium refining systems for some of the world's most recognized companies.
