As the primary facilitator of government financial aid, you will provide expert advice and personalized support throughout the learner journey from initial inquiry through program completion.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This role combines advising, problem-solving, administration, and advocacy to help learners understand their funding options, overcome financial barriers, and make informed decisions that support their academic success and financial well-being.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>If you are passionate about student success, enjoy helping others navigate complex processes, and thrive in a collaborative, learner-focused environment, we encourage you to apply.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You'll Be Doing:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Advise and Support Learners:</span> Provide expert guidance to prospective and current learners on government financial aid programs, helping them understand funding options, eligibility requirements, and application processes. Through individual and group advising, you will support learners in navigating complex funding situations, resolving challenges, and accessing the resources they need to achieve their educational goals. You will also promote financial wellness by connecting learners with relevant tools, resources, and campus support.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Administer Financial Aid Programs:</span> Ensure the accurate and timely administration of government financial aid by maintaining learner records, processing funding-related information, and supporting compliance with applicable legislation, policies, and procedures. Working closely with internal partners, you will help resolve funding and account-related issues while contributing to effective reporting and service delivery.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Collaborate and Enhance Learner Success:</span> Build strong relationships with government funding agencies, institutional partners, and colleagues to support positive learner outcomes. Your ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accuracy, and adapt to changing requirements allows you to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Minimum </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>1-3 years advising experience</li>\n<li>Bachelor’s Degree</li>\n<li>An equivalent combination of directly related education and experience may be considered</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exceptional knowledge of applicable systems (student management system, government financial aid systems, and provincial financial aid portals)</li>\n<li>Ability to interpret and implement Student Loan legislation, policy, and procedures</li>\n<li>Strong advisory/assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills</li>\n<li>Ability to work with diverse multi-cultural adult learners using sound judgment and client-centered approach</li>\n<li>Ability to liaise effectively with external funding/Government agencies</li>\n<li>Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills</li>\n<li>Proficient in MS Office applications</li>\n<li>Effective presentation skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Closing Date</span>: June 12, 2026</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This opening is a continuous (AUPE) position.
