    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Job Description</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Sequoia Services</span> is seeking a skilled and motivated <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic</span> to support our construction operations. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of heavy construction equipment in the field to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation on job sites.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced field environment. Experience with Caterpillar equipment is a plus.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy construction equipment</li>\n<li>Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot equipment failures to minimize downtime</li>\n<li>Complete preventive maintenance to improve reliability and equipment life</li>\n<li>Repair or replace defective components in a timely manner</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate service and maintenance records</li>\n<li>Coordinate with site supervisors on scheduled and emergency repairs</li>\n<li>Follow all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and environmental regulations</li>\n<li>Order and manage tools and replacement parts as needed</li>\n<li>Utilize CAT SIS and ET systems (preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Qualifications &amp; Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">5+ years of experience</span> as a heavy equipment mechanic or related field</li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and transmissions</li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics</li>\n<li>Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li>\n<li>Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (<span style=\"font-weight: bold\">CDL Class B preferred</span>)</li>\n<li>Willingness to travel, including frequent overnight stays</li>\n<li>Physically capable of performing field repairs in varying weather and job site conditions</li>\n<li>Vocational or technical school training preferred</li>\n<li>Relevant certifications a plus</li>\n<li>Possess or willing to obtain a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">DOT medical card</span></li>\n<li>Welding experience is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Why Join Sequoia Services?</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Steady, year-round work</li>\n<li>Safety-focused, team-oriented culture</li>\n<li>Opportunities for growth and advancement</li>\n<li>Company that values experienced, skilled trades professionals</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Apply today</span> to join Sequoia Services and be part of a team committed to keeping equipment—and projects—running safely and efficiently.</p>\n",
