Your success is what&#39;s next with Custom Truck One Source. &nbsp;</p><p><strong>Summary</strong></p><p>Custom Truck One Source has an opening for a Specialty Truck Engineer (Estimator) with a background in aerial vehicles, equipment, parts and heavy &amp; light duty trucks. The Estimator will report to the Estimation/Inside Sales Manager and will be responsible for collaborating with salesmen and customers to provide an accurate and timely quote that allows us to obtain an expected profit margin.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ensure that we are remaining competitive within the market while maintaining a profit margin that falls within our guidelines for profitability.</li><li>Work directly with salespeople, support staff and customers to fully comprehend the requested quote requirements and breakdown the chassis, parts, and labor costs of the build.</li><li>Plan and prioritize quoting activities by responding to and following-up with the salesperson on product inquiries.</li><li>Research and monitor different vendors by gathering information on pricing, products, quality and lead times to ensure we are staying competitive in the market. &nbsp;</li><li>Recommend alternative product lines to remain competitive with other bidders.</li><li>Enter and track all quoting activity in our customer resource management system.</li><li>Review previously quoted items to identify ways of increasing profit margin on future builds.</li><li>Identify, research and create a bill of materials needed to complete the requested build that contains supplier, part number, quantity, cost and lead time.</li><li>Work with the parts manager to identify current suppliers and pricing discount as well as verifying new vendor.</li><li>Communicate the bill of materials to the proper channels once we receive a purchase order for the quoted build.</li><li>Collaborate with salespeople and customers to identify what changes should be made on existing quotes to ensure accuracy and update the bill of materials accordingly.</li><li>Communicate all updates through the proper channel.&nbsp;</li><li>Keep record of previous quotes to review and identify what improvements should be made for future inquiries.&nbsp;</li><li>Identify commonly used parts and integrate them into our quote sheets.</li><li>Work cohesively with all other departments.</li><li>Complete all other tasks given from the manager.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Skills and Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High school diploma or the equivalent.</li><li>Professional and Technical knowledge of&nbsp;aerial vehicles, equipment and heavy &amp; light duty trucks.</li><li>Previous experience with estimation</li><li>Valid Driver&rsquo;s License required</li><li>Professional personal appearance</li><li>Extremely detail oriented and accurate.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Setting priorities and adapting to changing work priorities.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be self-sufficient and driven.</li><li>Meeting deadlines and schedules.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong attendance record</li><li>Professional personal appearance</li><li>Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test</li><li>Computers and Electronics &mdash; The applicant needs to be proficient on a computer and have the ability to learn new programs quickly.
