The SE shall possess a bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering from an ABET accredited institution.  This individual shall directly contribute to the Firm and its success through the application of knowledge and technical experience to effectively produce a quality design and ultimate product to the customer. The SE is also responsible for contributing to the growth of the team by leading and mentoring subordinate staff in expanding their capabilities and contributions. The SE shall execute design duties as required to ensure quality is always maintained.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The SE shall be a Structural Engineer registered as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and a licensed Structural Engineer (SE) passing the 16 hours NCEES exam, in the United States and/or its territories, at a minimum. Additional credentials are encouraged and desired.</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The SE is a Structural Engineer by education and experience, with the following characteristics:</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to combine personal judgment with information to establish and implement design criteria.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Has expertise conventional steel buildings, Concrete, Masonry, light gage, and wood. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Demonstrates proficiency of structural concepts including connection design, design loads, Lateral systems, different materials, and foundation design. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Able to use computer software including Staad, Tedds, Excel, and other applicable tools.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to work well in a team environment as well as an individual. Communicates effectively with individuals in the organization.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Capable of interpreting information set forth in a Basis of Design or a Facilities Requirements Document, as well as additional information gathered from users, other consultants, field surveys and code research.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Applies engineering principles to resolve engineering problems and tasks assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Develops and implements design criteria and system designs from concept through detailed design and construction.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Collaborates with and mentors subordinate staff regarding their responsibilities on a daily basis.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Continuously seeks to improve and is self-teachable.</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The SE is a Structural Designer:</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Implements criteria and researches applicable codes, and investigates structural systems. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Understands using design tools such as the IBC and referenced codes.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Coordinates and implements the structural system with other team members within the discipline, as well as project team members in other disciplines.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Proficient with design drawing software including Revit and AutoCAD. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Performs system calculations.
