Job Description:
Brains and Motion Education is looking for enthusiastic and organized Summer Camp Assistant Directors to support the daily operations of our summer camp locations. In this role, you will work closely with the Camp Director to ensure campers and staff enjoy a safe, positive and engaging camp experience.
In this role, you will:
Support the Camp Director in overseeing daily camp operations and maintaining an energetic and welcoming camp environment.
Help supervise, mentor and guide a team of 2 to 6 instructors, encouraging teamwork and strong communication.
Contribute to a supportive experience for campers by helping to maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging atmosphere.
Assist with communication to parents, campers and staff, answering questions and helping resolve concerns with professionalism.
Assist with conflict resolution involving campers, instructors or parents and help escalate situations appropriately to the Camp Director.
Support administrative needs such as email communication, Google Docs, spreadsheets and phone inquiries.
Help anticipate and respond to unexpected challenges while maintaining a calm and solutions focused approach.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience as an assistant director, coordinator, lead instructor or similar role in a camp, youth program or related setting.
Experience assisting with staff supervision or supporting a team through guidance, collaboration and feedback.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, parents and campers.
Solid administrative abilities, including comfort with Google Workspace, such as Docs and Sheets.
Enthusiasm for coaching, teaching or engaging with children in grades TK through 8.
Valid First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to the camp start date.
Background check required for all summer camp staff.
Completion of BAM summer camp training prior to the start of the season.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry 20 to 50 lbs, with or without accommodations.
Full time availability from June through August 2026, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM through 6:00 PM.
Must possess a current, government issued photo identification, such as a valid driver’s license or state ID, and have dependable transportation to travel to assigned program locations as needed.

In this role, you will work closely with the Camp Director to ensure campers and staff enjoy a safe, positive and engaging camp experience.\\n\\nIn this role, you will:\\n\\n\\n\\tSupport the Camp Director in overseeing daily camp operations and maintaining an energetic and welcoming camp environment.\\n\\tHelp supervise, mentor and guide a team of 2 to 6 instructors, encouraging teamwork and strong communication.\\n\\tContribute to a supportive experience for campers by helping to maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging atmosphere.\\n\\tAssist with communication to parents, campers and staff, answering questions and helping resolve concerns with professionalism.\\n\\tAssist with conflict resolution involving campers, instructors or parents and help escalate situations appropriately to the Camp Director.\\n\\tSupport administrative needs such as email communication, Google Docs, spreadsheets and phone inquiries.\\n\\tHelp anticipate and respond to unexpected challenges while maintaining a calm and solutions focused approach.\\n\\n\\nQualifications:\\n\\n\\n\\t1-3 years of experience as an assistant director, coordinator, lead instructor or similar role in a camp, youth program or related setting.\\n\\tExperience assisting with staff supervision or supporting a team through guidance, collaboration and feedback.\\n\\tStrong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, parents and campers.\\n\\tSolid administrative abilities, including comfort with Google Workspace, such as Docs and Sheets.\\n\\tEnthusiasm for coaching, teaching or engaging with children in grades TK through 8.\\n\\tValid First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to the camp start date.\\n\\tBackground check required for all summer camp staff.\\n\\tCompletion of BAM summer camp training prior to the start of the season.\\n\\tAbility to occasionally lift and carry 20 to 50 lbs, with or without accommodations.\\n\\tFull time availability from June through August 2026, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM through 6:00 PM.\\n\\tMust possess a current, government issued photo identification, such as a valid driver’s license or state ID, and have dependable transportation to travel to assigned program locations as needed.\\n\\n\\nDetails \\n\\n\\n\\tDates: 29th June 2026 - 7th August 2026 , Monday to Friday (8 am - 6pm) \\n\\tWage: $22 per hour\\n\\tJob Type: Full time, seasonal\\n\\n\\nBrains and Motion Education is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a diverse and inclusive work environment.
