Gain hands-on experience in program management by assisting with attendance tracking, field trip coordination, classroom activities, and ensuring student safety during bus rides. This internship offers valuable skills development and contributes to a rewarding summer experience. Applications closed to non-alumni.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>In this role, you will be responsible for the following: &nbsp;</strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Ensure student safety and adherence to guidelines during bus rides.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Maintain accurate attendance records and report any concerns to the program manager.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Supervise Science First students during learning activities, fostering engagement and adherence to expectations.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Organize and manage student assignments in Google Classroom.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Stay up to date on the program calendar and prepare necessary materials.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Print and set up classroom activities for Science First and College First programs.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Assist with coordinating maps, directions, and tickets for field trips.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Work alongside the program manager and instructors on various logistical tasks.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Qualifications<br></strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Our ideal candidate will have the following:</strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Minimum of one year demonstrating leadership skills in informal science education settings, such as camps, after-school programs, or science clubs.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Strong familiarity with the Chicago Botanic Garden&#39;s Science First and/or College First programs through prior participation is a significant advantage.
