Pay Rate: $17.50 - $18.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSun12:00 AM - 08:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify identification and credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access while documenting security-related concerns and unusual activity. Respond to incidents, assistance requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, observing for security-related issues, access control concerns, and conditions that may need attention. Support visitor management and badge-related processes, provide directions and information, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and other required documentation. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
