We are committed to providing best-in-class patient care, pioneering research and technology, and most importantly, rewarding and recognizing our employees!</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>As an <strong>Licensed Practical Nurse</strong>, your strong detail orientation and multi-tasking skills will be essential in our fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will provide a safe and efficient environment for all patients in our Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) during the perioperative phases.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Primarily performing Chart Prep; creating Histories and physicals & completing the Chart Check at the end of the day.</li>\n <li>Helping admit Check-in</li>\n <li>Prepare preoperative and postoperative areas for patient. Monitor cleanliness, assemble supplies, and check equipment for proper functioning.</li>\n <li>Provide physical or emotional support to patients as needed.</li>\n <li>Assist anesthesia provider during patient anesthetic stages.</li>\n <li>Assist in safe transportation and position of patient.</li>\n <li>Provide evaluation, observation and treatment of patients under local anesthesia.</li>\n <li>Communicate with patient and family as necessary, providing information and emotional support.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate and complete records of patient􀂶s pre-operative and post-operative experience.</li>\n <li>Start IVs as ordered, if certified.</li>\n <li>Remove IV.</li>\n <li>Administer oral medications and eye drops as ordered.</li>\n <li>Physiologically monitors patient during the pre- and post- operative processes.</li>\n <li>Participates in patient/family teaching.</li>\n <li>Orders supplies for pre-op/recovery area as needed.</li>\n <li>Maintains familiarity with code procedure and crash cart.</li>\n <li>Participates in fire drills and mock codes as directed.</li>\n <li>Performs whatever tasks are necessary to function as part of the surgery team and keep surgery flowing smoothly.</li>\n <li>Encourages a team oriented environment and follows company guidelines and policies.</li>\n <li>Participates in on-going training and continuing education.</li>\n <li>Shows respect and deals appropriately with co-workers, patients, and visitors.</li>\n <li>Performs any and all duties assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED</li>\n <li>Graduate of accredited program for Practical Nurses</li>\n <li>Current Arizona LPN License</li>\n <li>BLS certification required</li>\n <li>1-year Ophthalmology experience as a Surgery RN is a plus</li>\n <li>ASC experience preferred</li>\n <li>Dedicated to patient satisfaction</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively</li>\n <li>Ability to work as a member of the surgical team.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits & Perks</h2>\n<p>Your health, happiness and your future matters!
